Blog 2 This week for my blog post I am going to share the start of my picture taking. This week I only took pictures of the flowers on the front porch and also my dog Deacon laying in the grass. I used all three of my devices.
I just used the regular setting on my phone, the landscape setting on the camera, and the only option I have on the GoPro that I know of. The pictures are posted in another tab on my page. I personally think my phone did a good job but the camera was the best. With the GoPro it just gives a very large perspective of the entire yard. I also think using the camera was pretty easy. The GoPro sometimes may be hard to use when trying to figure out what button to press and how to view the picture after it was taken. When I took a photo of the flowers I used the Close up setting on my camera. Once again I also just used the regular setting on my phone. Personally I think the picture of the flowers was better than of the dog. I feel as if the cameras focus on other things around him rather than just him and the flowers was the only thing the camera saw so it seemed to focus on them better.

Blog 1My first official blog post is going to consist of a weekly update of learning how to use the camera and learning new settings available on it. One way I will be learning how to use the camera to get the most successful picture. Some settings are sports, landscape, auto (flash), and portrait. I watched a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GN_YQ0GklDA and learned different things about how it works and simple steps. One thing I learned is that you can record on the camera. I have had this camera for a while and never knew that. Something else is that you can fix the brightness and lock the focus on what the camera is looking at. To get the flash to pop up all you have to do is press the lightening bolt button on the front of the camera.
Since I also am working with a GoPro Hero 4 I need to learn the best ways to take pictures on it. I am not the best at using the GoPro because my dad usually uses it when we are all together. On that you can either video or take pictures. Either looks as if you are in a wide view and it is far away even if you are close. On the Mac book computer there is a certain app that you can get to edit and upload your videos and photos taken. My phone camera is last and I already know most of the settings that are offered. I know for sure you can add a grid to the picture, change the color after the photo is taken, and lastly the photo can be live so you can hold the picture down to see the picture in action. There are different apps you can get to edit the picture to make it look in better quality. My first blog post is really to tell you, the people reading my blog, about what my project is and how I plan to work throughout the semester with it. I will be taking pictures of people, animals, and sometimes outdoor views and comparing them based off of what camera I use. I will be using a Nikon D3400, GoPro Hero 4, and my IPhone 7 camera.
Some things that I will be comparing are the quality, how quick each can take and which one shows the best outcome. I plan to take pictures at cheer practice of people in action. Also of my dog or any other animal that I see in action. He could be running towards me or just standing still before moving, and lastly the sky at night and the difference when the sunset is happening. Lastly the reasoning on why I chose to do this project. First I would like to say that I got a camera last christmas and have used it on family trips but never really taken the time to learn about the different settings. I think using the camera during this project is going to help me learn how to use the settings in a good way and also ask questions to people who know how. Second is when I am older I would like to work either in the medical field or be a teacher with a side job of photography. I would need to learn the in's and out's of the camera I am working with and I believe this is a great start. Lastly this is just something I am very interested in and hope that it turns out the best it can. |
